Airports, trains, transfers and the last golden kilometre to Gauravaddo — everything to know before you set out.
Ocean Palms sits in Gauravaddo, Calangute — opposite Holiday Street, just off the main Calangute road and minutes from the beach. However you arrive in Goa, the last leg is a pleasant coastal drive.
Goa has two airports. Dabolim (GOI), the original, lies to the south — about 38 km and roughly an hour's drive from the resort. The newer Manohar International Airport at Mopa (GOX) serves North Goa and is a little closer, about 31 km away to the north. Both are well connected to India's major cities; pick whichever offers the better flight, and we will meet either one.
Pre-paid taxi counters operate at both airports, and app-based cabs cover the routes. Simpler still: ask us for a private transfer when you book, and your driver will be waiting with your name on a board.
Thivim (Konkan Railway) is the closest station, around 19 km away — under an hour by road. Madgaon, Goa's largest junction, is further south but carries more long-distance trains. The Konkan coastal line, if you have the time for it, is one of India's great railway journeys — tunnels, rivers and paddy the whole way down.
Panaji, the state capital, is about 13 km away — handy for a city evening. Buses and highways link Goa to Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru for the road-trip inclined, and self-drive hire cars are easy to arrange in season.
Check-in is from 2 PM and check-out by 11 AM, with early or late timings subject to availability — tell us your flights and we will do our best. During the monsoon (June to September) allow a little extra time on the roads. And if anything about the journey is uncertain, call or WhatsApp reservations — helping you get here smoothly is part of the stay.
